Extreme sports athlete Matthias Weger was the first person to conquer the Bad Gastein waterfall in a kayak. After intensive preparation, he mastered the difficult descent through the 341-metre drop. This spectacular first ascent was carried out and documented on August 19, 2024.

German trail and ultra runner Ida-Sophie Hegemann and Innsbruck-based media house REC3 present the six-part documentary series “Chasing Ida”, which follows Ida through her trail running season and offers exclusive insights into her life and her athletic challenges.

Ida-Sophie Hegemann won the Ehrwald Trail at the Zugspitz Ultratrail (ZUT) 2024 last weekend over 86 km in 10:39:57 hours. The ZUT brought together almost 4,000 runners and is the biggest trail event in Germany.
