The Weger Brothers, Jakob and Matthias, are kicking off winter 2024 with their adventure series "Alpine Worlds." The season premiered on November 21 with the episode "Sunrise Spines" on YouTube. In this episode, the brothers take viewers on an expedition to Sulden, Italy, where they ascended through the night to descend untouched slopes at sunrise—a start that perfectly embodies the essence of the series: passion for the mountains and authentic adventure.
“In this new season of ‘Alpine Worlds,’ we ventured even further and higher into the high mountains,” says Matthias Weger. “From a first descent at the Kreilspitze in Sulden to the 56° steep King Couloir at the Königspitze and a fly-to-ski action in the Dolomites, where we tackled several ski lines solely using thermals and our paraglider, we’ve included almost everything an alpine skier’s heart desires.”
Jakob adds: “We focused even more on the quality of our footage. Our drone pilots and filmmakers raised the bar once again, and our team became so well-coordinated that we didn’t have to re-stage any scenes. This allowed us to maintain the almost meditative flow of the action, which we’re eager to authentically convey to our viewers. Love and respect for the mountains, as well as the beauty of the alpine landscape, are the central pillars of this season.”
