Upro Shors shares the story of two best friends, Felix and Lucas, as they take on a challenging 100-day journey through the rugged landscapes of the Caucasus Mountains. Over more than 100,000 meters of elevation gain, they push through peaks over 5,000 meters tall. But this journey is more than just a physical test—it’s a personal challenge for Felix, who was paralyzed from the neck down just two years earlier after being diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome.
Felix’s drive to regain his strength and freedom in the mountains, despite the effects of his illness, is at the heart of this adventure. By his side is Lucas, his lifelong friend, whose steady support strengthens their bond even further. Their friendship proves just as important as their physical endurance, showing the value of trust and connection.
With sweeping mountain views and personal, heartfelt moments, Upro Shors explores themes of resilience, friendship, and freedom. The film highlights how, even in the face of tough challenges, the determination to keep going can lead to remarkable achievements.
